Seismic Strengthening of Reinforced Concrete Walls with Fibre-Reinforced Polymer Materials
By Natural Hazards Commission · 1992
Reinforced concrete (RC) walls are commonly used as lateral-load-resisting elements of multi-storey RC buildings (Paulay and Priestley 1992). Modern RC walls are designed to exhibit ductile response during earthquakes, but many existing RC walls were constructed prior to the introduction of ductile design requirements in the 1980s.
