Tupuārangi is a new hall of residence on Homestead Lane at the University of Canterbury's Ilam campus. It has 283 single ensuite rooms, mainly for first-year students, with shared lounges, study spaces and a fully catered dining area. It sits beside the existing Tupuānuku hall, and the two form a connected residential precinct. Enabling works and the structural frame started in 2024, and the façade went on through 2025. The hall was officially opened on 12 February 2026 and was full from day one, lifting the university's on-campus accommodation to just over 3,000 beds.
