Te Waharoa is Auckland's new international cruise terminal on Quay Street, designed as a gateway to the city for passengers arriving in the heart of downtown. It is due to open in early 2027. The terminal will handle up to 1,500 people an hour, up from a port that currently sees more than 300,000 cruise passengers a year. It is part of a $200 million investment in the city's cruise precinct, alongside a new big-ship wharf at Bledisloe North. The design draws on the stories of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei as tangata whenua.
