Lakeview Te Taumata is a hotel and apartment precinct on Queenstown's old Lakeview campground, at the end of Man Street below the Skyline gondola. The full precinct is valued at more than $2 billion and will be built in stages over about 15 years. Stage 1, called The Roto Collection, has three buildings on a schist-clad podium: a nine-level co-living hotel and two apartment buildings of 10 and 12 levels, with 224 apartments in total. Ground was broken on 12 February 2026. About 16,000 m³ of soil and gravel and 3,500 m³ of schist are being dug out during 2026, followed by around two years of building work. Up to 300 people are expected on site at the peak.
