On Puhinui Road, between Manukau and Auckland Airport, 65 ha of former strawberry and lettuce fields are becoming a warehouse and logistics estate. It sits close to the State Highway 20 ramps and the airport. Roads, power, water, a 400,000-litre sewage station and a stormwater wetland went in first. The first stage, Block C, has six warehouses ranging from about 6,800 m² to 21,000 m², with around 65,000 m² of warehouse space going up at once. In November 2025 it was ranked the largest building project under way in Auckland. The buildings will be leased long term rather than sold. The whole estate is expected to take about ten years, with an estimated finished value of $1 billion.
