IKEA's first New Zealand store: a 52,684 m² flagship retail building on a 33,000 m² site at Mount Wellington, Auckland. The multi-level store combines a mezzanine showroom, marketplace, food and beverage areas and undercroft parking, supported by warehouse automation and extensive new roading, ramps and parking. A staged construction strategy kept the opening on its original timeline despite a five-month consenting delay.
