Hiwa is the University of Auckland's eight-storey sport and recreation centre on the City Campus, with about 26,000 m² of floor space. It opened to users in November 2024 and was officially opened in February 2025. It has an aquatic hall with an eight-lane pool, sports halls with a glass sports floor, a fitness centre and studios, and a rooftop multi-sport turf and social area. Planning began in 2018, and part of the cost was paid for by student levies collected over many years. The centre logged more than 700,000 visits in its first six months.
